11/15/08 Welcome to Time of Prophets. Currently there is an activity check in progress from 11/15 to 11/30. Everyone MUST post there. Anyone that has not yet made a character has until the 30th to do so. We are in need of males so everyone refrain from making females right away. Alpha positions are still open to anyone interested, PM me for specifics for alphas. Due to past alphas, needs for an alpha bio are a bit stricter now.

Temperatures are steadily beginning to drop. Chilly winds comb through the woodlands of the Avalon, frost nipping at the tundra while chilly coastal winds batter the Druids. To the south, Darkrais are experiencing a period of relief from severe southern heats before winter sets in. In the far north caribou are on the move, in the Avalon forests the deer have finished their summer rut and are preparing for winter. Cold rains cycle through in the early mornings leaving dense fogs to roll in from the coasts. Standing on the mainland, the fog can grow so dense you can't see the island of the Druids.
Select wolves on Time of Prophets are allowed to have powers. These powers could be at random or they could be passed down through a bloodline. Some powers occur only in females and some only in males. Often wolves with powers dwell in the Druid Pack but not always. Mundane and Gifted wolves can live together and coexist or the Mundanes could shun the Gifted depending on the beliefs of the pack alpha. Not every wolf can have a gift. If we have too many gifted wolves, I'll put a ban on them.
[Powers]
Pyrokenetic- Can create flames when their anger flares. These wolves often have to work very hard to control this power and are often the most shunned. When they become unhappy or depressed, Pyros become very ill and over time if they don't snap out of it, it could kill them. When they get wet it takes a while for their powers to come back. Soul-Walkers- These wolves can project themselves out of their bodies to walk as a ghost. An invisible silver thread connects them to their bodies. If the thread is broken for some reason such as the body being moved, the soul becomes disconnected and the Soul-Walker's body becomes hollow but the Walker is trapped as a ghost. This is a dangerous power to have and often not used unless absolutely necessary and the body is guarded by more then one wolf. Dreamers- Depending on the development of the power, a Dreamer can weave a dream from their own thoughts and project it into a sleeping wolf. This can be a nightmare to drive them mad or a message for help. Lower Dreamers can only walk in dreams and view the dreams and musings of others but not weave their own dreams while High Dreamers can do both, weave and walk. Weather-Weavers- Powerful Weather-Weavers can create a storm from a sunny day, a blizzard from a heatwave while less powerful Weather-Weavers can only create small rains on cloudy days or stem the fall of snow. Often their emotions dictate what happens and only experienced Weather-Weavers can call winds or rain on demand. Often their eye color or the shade of their eye color indicates their feelings and the desired weather. Auroras- Auroras are aura-seers and are quite useful as advisers. They can see the color of a wolf's soul as well as their intentions. If a wolf is lying, an Aurora will be able to see it. In most rights they're colorblind, seeing only the flame that sits in the soul of every wolf and they watch the color of it to determine intentions and whether the wolf is peaceful or cruel. They often have duel-colored eyes or a very capturing gaze. Illusionists- Illusionists use their minds to create a cloak around them. They aren't shapeshifters but can spin a cloak with their mind that gives them a desired appearance which means a huge brute could weave a cloak to make himself look like a mouse. This works also for invisibility though invisibility is harder to maintain and often falters. They tend to favor a darker coloring and pale eyes though it's always hard to tell since they can take almost any appearance. They make useful spies which is why no one trusts them.
