Appearance.xx
It's what captures the attention of most wolves when they first encounter Szkoda. Her eyes; one crystalline orb of a mesmerizing blue frost, and another of a quizzical apple green. One with the everlasting sparkle of intellect and the other with the continuous swirl of mischief. Each accented with a brush of fur of the opposite's hue, as if to further their contrast; to one another, and to her pelt. As if the ashes of a long lasting inferno where blanketed by snow, Koda's fur is a deep grey overlaid by a strikingly pure white. From the peak of her alert ears to the tip of her feathered tail. The downy soft coat shields her athletically lean, and noticeably small, body from the unpredictable weather she shifts and alters. It's only downside, however, is that it makes the act of hiding a near-impossible thing. But where most wolves would see this as a considerable weakness, in Koda's eyes, it nothing more than a minor glitch.
Hiding is the cowards way out.
And who needs to hide from someone you can simply outdo in some way or another?
Personality.xx
Perceptive. Cunning. Slyer than any fox you've ever encountered and equipped with the mind of an analyst, Szkoda has a knack for salvaging any situation and turning it to her own advantage. Physically, and especially mentally, it's well advised not to tangle with her. Because ruffling her fur in just the wrong manner is a guarantee to be regretting your choices in the future. Your one break? Koda is a very difficult wolf to aggravate; courtesy of years of gruesome emotional training. With a naturally calm and laid-back mannerism, she prefers to analyze most situations and select a favorable solution over simply jumping in 'blindfolded'. And having a natural reign on her emotions, her powers scarcely ever get the better of her.
But there's a quirk. There always is.
Szkoda, for lack of a better choice of words, is a prevalent smartass. Only, in her case, it's just as much of an unconscious act as it is otherwise. Because of the complex workings of her mind, it's almost natural for Koda to slip in sly remarks or crafty responses whenever possible. It's something she can't exactly prevent on most occasions. Because as her namesake suggests, Szkoda has a mischievous side hidden beneath her sharp mind. One that overjoys in the discomfort of others and exalts in the heady thrill of causing chaos. In some situations it continues to be nothing more than a 'hidden' quality, as Szkoda commonly keeps it in check. But on the occasion that it does choose to emerge and snarl its existence...cover is advised to be taken. Because the weather could turn ugly...
History.xx
Born as the only child and daughter of the Darkrai Pack's previous Sentry, Szkoda automatically assumed a medial position in the Pack's hierarchy. She was next in line to inherit the rank and title that her father held. Only, from the very beginning, a distressing problem presented itself. Koda, as her parents often called her, was roughly half the size of most pups her age; and withheld an uncanny power to warp the weather conditions around her. The very real fear of having her shunned, or even murdered, by the pack was a constant torment on the minds of her mother and father in the slow months after her birth.
How could such a small gift bring with it such a great threat?
But with a growing tide of relief, Szkoda's parents began to realize they needn't have had to worry. At least not for long. For with the seasons came obvious growth. Both in stature and in skill. By the time Szkoda hit her first birthday, her size had increased distinctly. She was still smaller than those her own age, noticeably so in most cases, and it resulted in many cases of being underestimated.
A mistake.
Her talent, her power, to alter weather conditions was frightfully strong. So much so, that controlling it was hardly an option at such a young age. And at one point in time, it nearly resulted in her own death. But Koda was clever enough to turn the tables in her favor, something she had proven she excelled at. Every waking moment became a form of training, a struggle to control her power before it sought control over her life. She took charge of her emotions, the ultimate ruler of her gift, and kept them in tight reign. And as the months crept by, the constant concentration paved the way for unconscious instinct.
Nothing goes unnoticed.
With the growing control of her supernatural gift, Szkoda's more inborn abilities began to shine through. Like her Father, a notorious Sentry himself, Koda possessed uniquely sharp senses and incredible agility. It was found that she was able to pick up noises and scents at an almost impossible range. And thanks to her small athletic build, capable of outrunning nearly any wolf larger than herself. They are physical attributes she relies on for survival just as often, if not more so, as her Weather-Weaving abilities.
And just beyond her fifth birthday, Szkoda has had more than enough time to hone her abilities to simple perfection.
RP Example.xx
Hundreds of thousands of individual tresses, all standing at an impressive height. Every one different from the next in some form or another. And yet, when a gentle breeze swept across the meadow as it did now, the grasses moved as one. From her hidden position amidst the thick field, Szkoda admired the spectacle that unraveled around her. For an instant, she even considered uncoiling from her low crouch to catch a better glimpse. The allure of witnessing the pasture move with a oneness only an ocean could possess was almost worth the possible risks.
Almost.
But Szkoda knew better. Not to mention that she had seen the phenomena numerous times in the past. Scouting sometimes worked that way, the wolf mused silently. You saw a lot of the same ol' stuff on a daily basis. Only, as Koda could testify, some things simply never failed to be a wonder. Remaining low on her haunches, though, the bleached wolf reminded herself of the reason she had wound up in such a soothing place. It wasn't to go site seeing. Oh no, definitely not something so drudging. Rather, Koda inhaled slowly and deeply, it was the foreign fragrance now directly uphill of her position.
She had caught whiff of the suspicious scent well over a mile South of her current position, while following one of her more favorited Lookout trails. And the excitement had been building ever since. Now, laying low with her belly mere inches from the soft dirt, Szkoda's fangs flashed in a devilish grin. Na koniec. It's 'bout d**n time for a little fun, she though merrily. She'd been deprived of entertainment for much too long.
So it was with a warm sense of anticipation that the Lookout began closing ranks with the aroma. Having pinpointed that the scent belonged to that of an Airmid wolf nearly an hour ago, Koda's sheer curiosity and surprise had long since faded; drowned out by her building sense of delight. Which immediately began to crumble when she came within a hundred meters of the source. Something wasn't right. Breathing deeply, the Bloodlust wolf confirmed her little hunch. Lunging forward, she sprinted the remaining distance that separated her from the source. She reached the location in seconds, a snarl ripping from her muzzle before she'd even come to a complete stop.
The small strands of grey fur that clung to the tree's bark had not been what she'd hoped to find. Szkoda groaned.
Well hell...there went her afternoon of fun. Chagrined, she plopped down on her haunches with a grumble. "Cudowny..." Now she'd have to report.
All work and no play.
Family.xx
Father: Gracki [Living]
Mother: Chytry [Living]
>> Both of Szkoda's parents are still proud members of the Darkrai Pack. But due to their daughter's commonly continuous assignment work, it's a rare occurrence that they get to spend any personal time together.
Other.xx
Endowed with a uniquely small build, Koda finds herself and her capabilities often underestimated. But no matter. It's a fault in others that she has used to her advantage numerous times before. And surely intends to do so for the remainder of her life. For whatever traits this white wolf lacks in size and strength, she makes up for in her Weather-Weaving, exceptional agility, and keen senses.
